No surprise that the day after An Inconvenient Truth wins an Oscar, pendulum swinger Jerry Falwell tells his Baptist congregation in Lynchburg that "the jury is still out" on whether humans are causing -- or could stop -- global warming.

Are environmentalism and evangelism any less compatable than, say, breathing and praying?

Jerry: why the binary, either / or proposition?

Doubts and debate are part of the process. Meanwhile, what's the harm if each of us do our part to protect ourselves and our planet?

Maybe that's God's grand plan anyway.
